About Illuminarium Designs
I began building lamps back in 2008 after a friend at a white elephant exchange gifted an orb with a single-color LED strip mounted to a cereal bowl. It was the most coveted gift of the exchange.
As a human with a spinal cord injury from childhood, I found comfort in the variability of illumination choices. As an attractive white male with a disability and tiger parents with accomplished careers in mitigating the worst days of people’s lives, I found comfort in gifting illumination to mitigate my own life. As a maniac with OCD proclivities, I of course take my maniacking very seriously, and try to maniac with decorum. It’s not easy, especially when other maniacs either intentionally or unintentionally provoke me to maniac maniacally. I’ve been figuring out the friction points though. Compassion is a big part of it. I credit gifting my lampwork over the years as the reason I have time with my son today.
When we find ourselves inserted squarely into the armpit of Armageddon, do we leverage precision pixel power from The Puppiest Puppy, do we Let Loose Like a Dinosaur and call in the Hugalotyl, or do we innovate further with intent to flabergast?
